Projects will include Industrial and Commercial. Can comprehend NFPA code, design/ installation methods & material lists for fire sprinkler systems.Position is located in Greenville, South Carolina.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESOversee all sprinkler construction projectsManage job cost and project schedulingWork with designers to get designs completed and submittedFollow up and manage permits for projectsReport weekly to the GM with project updatesAssist with management of Sprinkler warehouse and tool inventoryAssist with coordination of contract job change ordersUnderstand design & Layout of Fire Sprinkler Systems, Field SurveyingUnderstand listing of system piping for fabricationCoordination for installation between tradesManaging cost and understanding budgetsREQUIRED EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONSNICET certification preferred but not requiredGeneral mechanical knowledgeExperience in Fire Protection Installation or DesignExcellent verbal and written communication skillsUnderstanding of specialty items such as:Fire Pump installation and serviceSetting up and diagnosing dry and preaction systemsAnti-freeze systemsSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESOversee installation labor on assigned projectsReview and approve weekly time reports of direct report employeesSuccessful completion of a drug test and pre-employment background screening is required.
