Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Food Preparation Specialist to join our team at Whole Foods Market. As a key member of our prepared foods department, you will be responsible for preparing and maintaining a wide range of food products, including cold case, fresh pack, salad, and hot bars.Key Responsibilities

• Food Preparation: Prepare food items according to production sheets, ensuring quality and consistency.
• Sanitation and Safety: Maintain a clean and sanitary working environment, adhering to WFM cleanliness and safety standards.
• Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, addressing customer needs in a timely and effective manner.
• Inventory Management: Monitor food levels and replenish in a timely manner, maximizing sales potential through effective inventory management.
• Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve departmental goals and objectives.Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: 6-12 months retail experience preferred.
  • Skills: Thorough product knowledge, ability to follow a recipe, and good understanding of food production and fundamental cooking techniques.Working Conditions
    • Lifting: Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
    • Standing/Walking: Standing/walking for 6-8 hours in an 8-hour workday.
    • Exposure: Exposure to FDA-approved cleaning chemicals and temperatures up to 90 degrees Fahrenheit.
