Job Summary
The CT Technologist I performs imaging procedures in accordance with departmental protocols and standards. Operates CT scanners and associated equipment with high proficiency.
Key Responsibilities

• 
  
• Verifies patient orders and refers discrepancies to Radiologists.
  
• Prepares patients for procedures, documents medical history, and correlates test results.
  
• Administers IV contrast according to departmental protocols and evaluates image quality.
  
• Performs basic patient care functions and initiates life support measures as needed.
  
• Assists Radiologists and PAs during invasive procedures and maintains knowledge of radiation safety standards.
  
• Reports equipment malfunctions and adheres to hospital fire and safety procedures.
  
• Operates radiology computer systems and documents contrast administration.
  
  Requirements
  Graduate of an accredited program in Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology required. ARRT certification in Radiology or NMTCB for Nuclear Medicine and advanced registry from the ARRT in CT scanning within one year of hire required in addition to current CPR certification.
  Physical Demands
  Requires moderate to heavy physical efforts in lifting and moving patients, equipment, and supplies. Occasional standing, walking, and sitting during normal operation. Frequently may be required to stretch, bend, twist, squat, or kneel in the daily operation of the CT department.
