Job Summary

As a skilled Advanced Wound Care Specialist, you will provide comprehensive care for patients with chronic wounds, utilizing advanced wound care techniques and modalities. Collaborating with the wound care team, you will assess and reassess patient needs, communicating effectively to ensure seamless care coordination.

Responsibilities include:

• Assessing and reassessing patient needs under the guidance of a physician and/or Certified Wound Care Clinician
• Formulating, implementing, and evaluating individualized plans of care based on patient needs
• Providing education to patients and caregivers on current evidence-based advanced wound care modalities and practices
• Identifying actual and potential issues of resource management and patient care, working with the wound care team to identify cost-effective alternatives
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation via EMR, including products and facility charges
• Creating a safe, comfortable, clean, and therapeutic environment for patients and families
  Requirements
  
  This role requires an Associate Degree in Nursing, with a BSN preferred. You should have 2 years of experience as an RN, with a strong interest and experience in skin and wound care. Wound Vac experience is preferred, as well as completion of a BSN or obtaining certification in Wound and Ostomy. This is a non-management role that will report to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive.
