Job SummaryThe MRI Department Supervisor will plan, direct, and supervise the technical aspects of the assigned specialty in the MRI department. This role will ensure a uniform systemized department and provide adequate coverage of all scanners or work assignments daily.Key Responsibilities

• Supervise the activities of the assigned area and monitor the staff's productivity levels, accuracy of exam protocols, and patient care.
• Coordinate and organize patient or work task flow through the assigned department, prioritizing procedures and shifting workloads as needed.
• Validate the quality of exams and the final product performed by all staff within the section.
• Order and maintain appropriate supplies for the assigned area and ensure a process for security of supplies.
• Perform payroll functions, maintain teammate records, and document PTO, reasons for absences, and tardiness.
• Perform performance appraisals, coaching, counseling, and discipline as needed.
• Maintain and communicate status reports for patient throughput, equipment downtime, and supply charges.Requirements
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology or Ultrasound program based on assigned area.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • BLS certification required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in the designated field is required.
  • Leadership experience preferred.Physical RequirementsThis role requires moderate to heavy physical efforts in lifting and moving patients, equipment, and supplies.
