As a key member of our imaging department, you will be responsible for performing CT scans and assisting radiologists and other medical personnel in various procedures.Responsibilities

• Exam Preparation and Administration
  • Prepare patients for CT scans, explaining the procedure and answering any questions they may have.
  • Verify patient orders and refer any discrepancies to the radiologist.
  • Image Acquisition and Analysis
    • Operate CT scanners and associated equipment with a high level of proficiency.
    • Evaluate the technical quality of images and consult with radiologists as needed.
    • Patient Care and Support
      • Provide basic patient care functions, including patient transport and monitoring.
      • Inform nursing personnel of any changes in patient condition and initiate life support measures as necessary.
      • Equipment Maintenance and Safety
        • Maintain knowledge and skills required to work safely in an environment that can create significant exposure to bloodborne pathogens and infectious disease.
        • Report malfunctioning equipment to the department director or clinical engineering/radiology engineer.RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will need:
          • A graduate degree from an accredited AMA program in Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology.
          • ARRT certification in Radiology or NMTCB for Nuclear Medicine, as well as advanced registry from the ARRT in CT scanning within one year of hire.
