• Job Details
• The CT Technologist I perform procedures in accordance with departmental protocols and standards.
• Operates CT Scanners and associated equipment with a high level of proficiency.
• Examination of requests and verification of orders on each assigned patient.
• Preparation of patients for the procedure with a full explanation and documentation on appropriate worksheets.
• Assumes responsibility for the exam from beginning of exam until completion of dictated results.
• Evaluates technical quality of images and consults with a Radiologist if needed.
• Recognizes abnormal anatomy and processes any additional, reconstructed images, and/or measurements as instructed.
• Reports malfunctioning equipment to the department director/manager/supervisor and clinical engineering/radiology engineer.
• Operates radiology computer system to include entering orders and charging procedures/supplies.
  • Job Requirements
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience required.
    • Additional Details
    • Requires moderate to heavy physical efforts in lifting and moving patients, equipment, and supplies.
    • Work requires walking, standing, sitting, reaching, stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling during normal operations.
    • Requires mental capacity to understand the assigned area of clinical expertise or technology.
    • Motor coordination needed to operate equipment including various computer systems.
    • Intact sense of sight and hearing.
    • Required to use radiation safety, MRI safety, and proper ergonomics to maintain an effective, safe environment.
