Ensures good working order of equipment and instruments.Assists with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients.Passes instruments to physician during surgery. (Required for certified position.)Affiliations: Association of Surgical Technologists, national or local level preferredRequired SkillsCertificationsAHA Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire and maintain thereafterRequires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
