Job Overview:This position will be based in Moore, SC. and will be responsible for the day-to-day activities for the distribution and Operations at Moore, SC. The Moore facility maintains approximately 12 drivers, and 9 units of equipment and 3 operation techs. Helping with the Midland facility maintains approximately 6 drivers and 4 units of equipment and Conyers, GA 5 drivers and 4 units of equipment. Under the direction of the Plant Manager and Distribution Manager, the candidate will have responsibility for interfacing with the national logistics organization to insure the efficient and effective use of product and distribution resources. Understanding of DOT requirements, truck maintenance procedures, and Linde's quality assurance program are required. The candidate will also be responsible for utilizing best practices in order to meet KPI goals for distribution and operations, as well as finding ways to increase productivity.The responsibilities include but are not limited to, day to day operations of three distribution locations and help with the Operation of the Moore plant, communicating with internal groups, billing/invoicing, monitoring EAM work orders for compliance, hiring, cost control and QA training. The candidate should have basic knowledge of DOT Regulations, computer programs (Word/Excel), people skills. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating monthly safety meetings
  • Implementing safety programs.
  • Managing vacation schedules.
  • Monthly cost transfers for Call and Demand and Argon Teams.
  • Weekly communication emails, rundowns and headcount etc.
  • Coordinating required training and testing as needed.
  • Managing truck drivers and Operation personnel.
  • Efficiently maintaining the material condition of delivery units.
  • Ensuring compliance will all safety (both internal and DOT requirements) at all times
  • Interviewing, hiring, and training new drivers to fill open positions
  • Ensure training records are kept on all employees and all necessary training is scheduled, attended, and completed.
  • Ensure the housekeeping of distribution and operation areas is maintained
  • Work as a team with the Plant Manager and Distribution personnel to maintain high levels of productivity.
  • Manage fleet maintenance schedules to minimize impact on operations, while maintaining the material condition of the equipment
  • Contribute to Linde's productivity initiatives by finding and implementing cost reduction/lean/six sigma projects and ideas. The position could have up to 30% travel between sites.Qualifications:
