Job Description:
Job Summary:
As a Registered Nurse at Prisma Health, you will play a vital role
in delivering exceptional patient care in an acute inpatient
setting. Your clinical expertise and compassion will inspire health
and wellness, while serving with empathy and understanding. Your
primary responsibilities will include providing clinical direction
for all aspects of patient care, fostering patient-centered care,
and demonstrating clinical competency in the nursing process. You
will also be responsible for adhering to all compliance and policy
procedures, including licensure renewal, assigned training, and
employee health screenings.
Key Accountabilities:
- Collects data and completes nursing assessments, utilizing
area-specific standards and policies.
- Develops individual plans of care based on patient needs and
validates priorities with the healthcare team.
- Provides direct care to assigned patients, consistent with the
established nursing plan, and delegates tasks as appropriate to
members of the healthcare team.
Professional Accountability:
- Evaluates own nursing practice in relation to professional
practice standards, state statutes, policies, and procedures.
- Maintains professional licensure and completes required mandatory
education in a timely manner.
- Reflects on identified areas of strength for improvement and
ensures written documentation and oral communication focuses on
pertinent information to support meeting patient care needs.
Requirements:
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred).
- One year experience as a Registered Nurse (successful completion
of the Prisma Health Nurse Residency Program accepted in lieu of
experience).
- Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in South Carolina.
Work Environment:
Night shift in the Family Beginnings department at Greenville
Memorial Hospital.
