Clinical Leadership and Patient CareJob SummaryAt Prisma Health, we seek a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to provide clinical direction for patient care in our acute inpatient setting. In this role, you will foster patient-centered care, demonstrating clinical competency and utilizing evidence-based practices to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. You will identify patient, unit, and organizational priorities and incorporate them into the nursing process, ensuring a high level of quality care.Responsibilities

• Collects data and completes nursing assessments, utilizing appropriate standards and tools to ensure accurate and comprehensive evaluations.
• Develops individual plans of care in collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare teams, prioritizing patient needs and goals.
• Provides direct care to assigned patients, performing specific tasks and delegating tasks as appropriate to ensure seamless care delivery.
• Monitors quality of care, ensuring patient safety and adherence to safety protocols, as well as regulatory requirements.
• Participates in performance improvement initiatives, collecting data and implementing recommendations to enhance care quality.Patient Education and TeachingAs a Registered Nurse at Prisma Health, you will identify patient and family learning needs, teaching accordingly to promote education and self-management. You will implement and evaluate teaching plans, utilizing computer resources and Micromedex to enhance patient understanding.Professional AccountabilityYou will evaluate your nursing practice in relation to professional standards, state statutes, and current knowledge, taking personal accountability for maintaining competency through education and professional activities. You will ensure written documentation and oral communication focus on pertinent information to support meeting patient care needs.Minimum Requirements
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)
• One year experience as a Registered Nurse (in lieu of experience, successful completion of the Prisma Health Nurse Residency Program or comparable residency accepted)
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in South CarolinaWork EnvironmentThis role requires working in a fast-paced acute inpatient setting, with potential for weekend, holiday, and on-call work.
