  • This position is for a Registered Nurse at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center.
  • Job requires servicing primary cardiac and stroke unit with responsibilities including the care for pacemaker implantation, defibrillators, and cardiac catheterization patients.
  • Nurses on the unit run multiple drips such as Cardiazem, Dopamine, Amiodarone, etc.
    • Job Requirements
    • Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar high acuity unit.
    • Willingness to accept first-time travelers.
    • Skills required include IV Start and Telemetry, managing pre and post procedure patients, handling cardiac patients and drips, and PCI.
      • Schedule Information
      • 36 Hours per week. Weekend scheduling required with shifts on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
      • Shift Time: 12 HR NIGHTS; from 18:45 to 07:15.
      • Candidates must be willing to fulfill call requirements based on patient census.
      • Self Scheduling with oversight from leadership.
        • Unit Specific Information
        • The unit has a high turnover rate, with 78 to 90 patients a week, and nurses may have a 6 patient assignment.
        • Nurses may be required to turnover their complete assignment and start over.
        • A team lead is present to assist with admissions and discharges.
        • Unit currently houses COVID positive patients with the use of opti-flow and BIPAP.
          • Additional Details
          • RTO after booking is NOT allowed and could result in cancelation and DNR status.
          • BLACK OUT RTO dates are specified for the holiday season.
          • No block scheduling available.
          • Applicants must pass EKG Testing prior to start.
          • Interviews are conducted via ZOOM.
