Role Summary
The CT Technologist I performs imaging procedures in accordance with departmental protocols and standards. This position operates CT scanners and associated equipment with a high level of proficiency. Responsibilities include preparing patients for procedures, administering contrast as needed, and documenting patient information. Additionally, the CT Technologist must maintain accurate records, adhere to radiation safety standards, and collaborate with other medical personnel to ensure patient care.
Key Responsibilities

• Examine requests and verify orders to ensure patient safety and accurate imaging.
  
• Properly identify patients and assist them during procedures, providing clear explanations and documentation.
  
• Conduct thorough medical history interviews to inform exam procedures.
  
• Operate radiology computer systems to enter orders and charge procedures and supplies.
  
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
  
• Collaborate with other medical personnel to ensure seamless patient care.
  
  Requirements
  This position requires a graduate degree in Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology from an accredited program, as well as ARRT certification in Radiology and CT scanning. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  Working Conditions
  This role may involve moderate to heavy physical exertion, including lifting and moving patients and equipment. The CT Technologist may also be exposed to radiation and other physical conditions during the course of their work.
  Education and Certifications
  A graduate degree in Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology from an accredited program is required, along with ARRT certification in Radiology and CT scanning. Current CPR certification is also necessary.
