Role OverviewThis position offers a sign-on bonus for eligible candidates, with experienced individuals receiving up to $7,500 for part-time positions and up to $15,000 for full-time positions. In addition to the sign-on bonus, new team members at Atrium Health enjoy robust benefits packages, paid time off, and opportunities for career advancement.About the JobAs a Radiology Technologist, you will perform radiographic examinations with minimal supervision under the direction of a Radiologist. Your daily activities will include performing examinations and associated clerical duties.Key Responsibilities

• Perform and assist with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.
• Document patient history related to specific procedures on requisitions submitted by physicians.
• Verify patient identification through verbal confirmation and validation of proof of identity.
• Prepare and administer contrast media as required.
• Consult with radiologists and other physicians as necessary.
• Select and operate equipment according to individual procedure demands and demonstrate correct anatomic positioning skills.
• Maintain appropriate records according to departmental standards.Physical RequirementsThis role requires strenuous physical effort while assisting patients from wheelchairs and stretchers. You will handle equipment and monitoring supplies, and must possess good oral and written communication skills to interact with patients and hospital staff. You may be required to frequently stretch, bend, twist, squat, or kneel while operating radiographic equipment.RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will need to have completed a formal Radiology Tech Program in an AMA-approved facility, be ARRT-registered, and possess Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) certification from the AHA. If a new graduate, you must be registry-eligible with registry completion within one year of hire date.
