Job SummaryAtrium Health is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team. As a key member of our radiology department, you will prioritize and coordinate ultrasound exams with nursing units, radiologists, and referring physicians.Key Responsibilities

• Verify patient orders and examine requests to ensure accurate and efficient exam performance
• Collaborate with radiologists to perform invasive procedures and provide exceptional patient care
• Evaluate exam quality and develop techniques to optimize efficiency and patient outcomes
• Support our Patient-Centered Care Philosophy by prioritizing patient needs and delivering exceptional care
• Report equipment malfunctions and maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Operate the radiology computer system to enter and charge exams and suppliesRequirementsCertification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (S) is required. A graduate of a comprehensive medical diagnostic ultrasound program is preferred. BLS certification is also required.Physical DemandsThis role requires moderate to heavy physical efforts in lifting and moving patients, equipment, and supplies up to 600 pounds with assistance. You will also need to walk, stand, reach, stoop, bend, push, pull, and lift during normal operation.
