- - -And much more---POSITION SUMMARYThe function of this position is to coordinate clinical office activities, under the direction of the physicians, and the schedules of clinical staff. -Complies with state and regulatory agencies. -Provides support to Certified Nursing Assistants and Certified Medical Assistants functioning in the Medical Assistant position in the clinical setting. -Prioritizes incoming phone calls by assessing the caller's symptoms and advising them in basic treatment or urges them to seek care in the office or the emergency department. -Exhibits effective communication. -Stays current with diseases processes, outbreaks and any information that would be beneficial for staff. -Completes required documentation consistent with the system used in the facility. -Develops and trains clinical staff.Performs a variety of tasks for the patients and providers including but not limited to triaging patients, taking patient vitals, obtaining medical information, charting, preparing exam rooms, and other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS -The following qualifications are the minimum requirements necessary to adequately perform this job. -However, any equivalent combination of experience, education and training which provides the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities would be acceptable, subject to any legal and/or regulatory requirements.A. - -Licensure: -Registered Nurse with license eligible to practice in the state of North Carolina.
B. - -Work experience: -Prefer two years experience working in a physician's office.
C. - -Knowledge, skills and abilities required: -Must have the ability to work independently, have strong oral skills, good basic math skills and be computer literate. -
D. - -BLS certification maintained.PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
Extended periods of walking, standing, bending and stooping may be required. Ability to hear clearly and have visual acuity necessary for computer use. -Ability to do repetitive work, keyboarding and writing. -Ability to lift 25 pounds. -Ability to hear and distinguish heart, lung, and bowel sounds.EEOC Statement:
